End of a days work
The controversial art of detained Chinese activist/artist Ai Weiwei. From the defiant middle finger, to the sad faced Olympic stadium frowning to an authoritarian regime - to painted over Han Dynasty pottery and maps of China made of demolished temples, and the famous sunflower seeds. Much of his art from the onset seem like your everyday modern art, but the meanings and messages he assigned to each of his works angered the Chinese government, and sent the police to arrest him before boarding a flight to Hong Kong, his studio sealed off.
The anatomy of a mermaid by the Brazilian artist Walmor Correa - I believe Walmor tires to illustrate how (and where) mermaids defecate.

Ok, love for the environment pretty much rubbed off on me since my boss is an environmentalist. So I’m going to take this opportunity to promote day to day eco friendly habits - starting by this one “How to politely refuse a plastic bag when offered” It’s actually a flier made by Julia Durgee (http://www.juliadurgee.com/) she draws great stuff and I came across her from a friend’s blog. Digg the “the plastic reminds me of my own mortality” bit.
In Hong Kong, they ask you first if “you want a bag with that” right after you pay for what you’ve bought. If you say yes, they’ll charge you 50cents (I dont remember the exact amount). So in HK refusing politely is not even an issue at all.
Honestly though, I always “respectfully” decline plastic bags when buying stuff if and when I have a bag with me, and I only take plastic bags when I believe it’s necessary. Of course if you buy cold storage stuff most if not all people prefer having a bag with them, but when it comes to candy, cigarettes, a lighter and the other small stuff (yes all those 3 usually come together) these things can slip right easy into a pocket or bag - and its even more inconvenient if you slip it in with a plastic bag.
This is what happens when Mario eats the mushroom - I am certain he ate it in this flick. Also the ultimate revelation that all the plants and clouds in Super Mario 1 are the same - only with different colors.

I did a marathon and actually FINISHED two of these kick ass games during my recent 4 day weekend (2 of those days were self imposed weekends) - more gaming and less everything (food, sleep..hey I bathed!). All in all both were awesome and worth it. Now to fix my body clock
I love Hollywood during the 30’s; the film noir vintage aesthetic with stories of murder, detectives, femme fatales, burning cigars - and no one could have portrayed them better than the great Annie Liebovitz - one of my favorite photographers. This is a spread she did called “Killers Kill, Dead Men Die”. It’s not a movie but a spread for Vanity Fair - a star studded spread at that.
